About Us

Really Useful Theatres Group owns and operates six commercial theatres in the heart of London’s West End. The Group is wholly owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Our theatres are some of the most prestigious and desirable in the world, including the iconic London Palladium and the stately Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Really Useful Theatres Group was formed in July 2012 on the demerger of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s theatres management business from The Really Useful Group. Founded in 1977, The Really Useful Group exists to bring the work of Andrew Lloyd Webber to the world.

The Really Useful Theatres Group portfolio of impressive, heritage, West End theatres also includes Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Cambridge Theatre, the New London Theatre and the Adelphi Theatre (owned in association with Nederlander International Limited). Our theatres vary in size and seating capacity ranging from the larger +2,000 seats to the mid-sized +1,000 seats.  The Really Useful Theatres Group plays host to some of the world’s best musicals and plays, as well as to a popular variety of concerts and comedy.

Musical theatre is the largest market segment in UK theatre entertainment and the Really Useful Theatres Group is the largest operator of musical theatres in London. With one third of the seating capacity in London’s musical theatre market, approximately 1 in 3 of all visits to a London musical is to a Really Useful Theatres Group theatre. Current shows in our theatres include, 42nd StreetSchool of Rock the Musical, Matilda the Musical, Kinky Boots, and the world famous The Phantom of the Opera.

We are committed to maintaining our buildings to a high standard and over the past 5 years alone we have reinvested £18m on the maintenance and refurbishment of these heritage theatres whilst having received £6m in restoration levy contributions in that time. Our staff take pride in delivering an unrivalled quality of service to our patrons, producers and all who visit our theatres.

These versatile and prestigious venues are also available for hire. They are suitable for a wide variety of events from small business meetings or private dinner parties, to conferences and weddings. By indulging in one of our VIP experiences we can make your visit to our theatres a wonderful and unforgettable experience – click here to find out more.
